Accessibility Statement

Engadine Inn and Cabins recognizes it has a responsibility to provide accessibility and usability to all visitors to our website.  Relevant standards set by the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guideline (WCAG) and defined in the American's With Disabilities Act (ADA) will be used to guide our compliance efforts.  Please understand that ours is an ongoing effort and that changes may, as necessary, be implemented to improve our compliance score.

A note about accessibility to our property…

Built in 1885, Engadine is registered as an historic building.  As such, the only entrance to the building is through the original and narrow front doorway, which has a high threshold.  Once inside, access to our rooms (located on the second and third floors) is only by way of the original staircases.  And while each room has a private bathroom (with shower or claw foot tub), due to their original designs, they do not include accessibility features.

(Future plans for the property call for the eventual creation of first floor suite which will include an access ramp, a separate dedicated handicap accessible entrance and accessible fixtures and features in a new bathroom.  Watch for news about these important changes and additions to Engadine in the coming months.)

Regarding service animals, we comply with ADA guidelines requiring that we accommodate guests traveling with their service animal without an additional fee.  This applies to all of our units.  However, since we already offer “pet friendly” accommodations in select units for an additional fee, please identify your need to accommodate a service animal so that we know to waive the pet fee.  And since all of our units are different, please provide a description of what the animal is trained to do so that we can better suggest the unit that will likely best suit your need.
