Hurricane Recovery: Engadine’s Commitment to Community and Guests
We are pleased to share that Engadine Inn and Cabins remained safe and unharmed following Hurricane Helene. While Asheville and surrounding areas faced significant recovery efforts, Engadine stood strong without any damages sustained. During this critical time, we were deeply grateful to play a vital role in supporting our community.
Engadine’s Support of Rescue Efforts
Following Hurricane Helene, Engadine Inn and Cabins served as a staging point for critical rescue operations in the region. Beginning on Saturday, October 5, 2024, we welcomed Aerial Recovery Group to our property to coordinate ground and aerial rescue missions across Western North Carolina. These efforts provided crucial aid to affected communities and supported recovery operations across the region. Over 100 volunteers from across the country joined these missions, demonstrating extraordinary dedication and compassion.
During this period, Engadine temporarily closed to guests to prioritize community needs and ensure the safety and effectiveness of these rescue missions. The work carried out by Aerial Recovery Group was truly lifesaving, and we were humbled to support their efforts.
Looking Ahead
After fulfilling our role in supporting the community, Engadine Inn and Cabins officially reopened to guests. We were thrilled to welcome back visitors to our beautiful property and the vibrant community around us.
We invite guests and the public to follow our continued journey on Facebook and Instagram as we focus on creating memorable experiences for our guests.
