If you’re like me or like most of the Americans I see on TV this morning, you are breathing a sigh of relief. “Decision 2020” is finally behind us! And whether your guy won or lost, at least now we ALL have something to look forward to…watching TV again without the 24/7 political ads!
I can’t believe I’m actually saying this, but I’m kind of looking forward to going back to the ads for personal injury lawyers, Medicare supplement plans and those annoying ads from My Pillow, the skin tag removal solution company, FarmersOnly.com and insurance giants GEICO (except for the one with the clogging family), Progressive and Liberty Mutual (except for the one with the liberty biberty guy). Ah…back to the good ole days of television!
For us, as we begin to mop up after the madness we just survived, Tom and I are looking forward to a few days off…we’re jumping in Lovanna (our RV) and taking her on a quick trip to the mountains. I’m looking forward to sleeping in, catching up on some reading, visiting Boone, Blowing Rock and Linville (all old stomping grounds for us) and sitting by a campfire each evening with a Scotch and water…well, maybe more than just one!
For you, we’re hoping that you, too, have a plan for destressing now that the election is behind us. If not, we have a suggestion!

In either case, and if nothing else, you can just sit by a cozy fire and just stare into the flames without the intrusion of the stressful thoughts and worry of the past few months.
